Alex Wheatley Honored by British Healthcare Business Intelligence Association

Award-Winning Paper Explored Route to Honesty through Innovative Question Techniques

LONDON (16 May 2016) – Alex Wheatley, Lightspeed’s award-winning Research Innovator, was recognized by the British Healthcare Business Intelligence Association (BHBIA) at the 2016 Annual Conference. Named Keith Munro Best Paper Winner, Wheatley’s presentation, Navigating the Path to Truth, investigated the route to honesty through innovative question techniques and survey narratives. From patients and payers to physicians and healthcare stakeholders, the award-winning presentation explored the constraints and hurdles to achieving open, honest responses across the healthcare industry.

“This is a much deserved recognition of Alex’s talent. He is one of the most talented researchers I have ever worked with,” stated Jon Puleston, Vice President of Innovation. “Our team is committed to developing new marketing research methodologies. We are honored to be acknowledged by BHBIA for our ongoing work.”

Lightspeed All Global previously won the Keith Munro Best Paper in 2014 for In the Hunt for the Richest Treasure Trove, Will Gamification Provide a Helpful Hint? Working in partnership with Adelphi Research, Jon Puleston compared and contrasted a traditional online survey approach against a more creative survey using gamification mechanics within the healthcare sector. “Having the creative and analytical freedom to research and investigate the issues that Jon and I see fit is rewarding in and of itself,” stated Wheatley. “But to receive this confirmation from the healthcare industry that our research is relevant and useful to them validates the whole process, and is both immensely gratifying and humbling.”
